Die EU hat das Ziel, die Anzahl der Verkehrstoten auf den europäischen Straßen bis 2020 zu halbieren. The target of the EU is to halve the number of fatalities on European roads by 2020. L’objectif de l’UE est de diminuer de moitié le nombre de tués sur les routes européennes à l’horizon de 2020.

Es soll Mitgliedstaaten und Bürgern ermöglichen, Vergleiche zu ziehen und sie ermutigen, weiterhin zur Straßenverkehrssicherheit aktiv beizutragen. Quellen: CARE (gemeinschaftliche Datenbank über Straßenverkehrsunfälle), Eurostat, nationale Veröffentlichungen. This leaflet shows the situation in 2015 (2014 when data from 2015 are not available) and the progress made since 2010. Its purpose is to allow Member States and European citizens to compare their situation and to encourage them to continue their efforts regarding road safety. Sources: CARE (Community database on road accidents), Eurostat, national publications. Ce dépliant montre la situation en 2015 (ou 2014 quand les données de 2015 ne sont pas disponibles) et les progrès faits depuis 2010.
