Of French descent, Claudie Rubin’s music is as much an expression of her love for American classics as it is an articulation of her heritage. A modern American artist with a voice as distinctive as Stevie Nicks, Rubin’s music has a style and a force to it that the Blues and Soul greats would envy. Rubin participated in this year's season of the Voice of Germany and was a contestant on Team Mark Forster. She advanced to the Quarter Finals after making it through the Blind Auditions, the Battles and participating in the Sing Offs. Born in the US and raised between Paris and Chicago, she beat out fierce competition to win the University of Chicago’s battle of the bands four years in a row and has opened for Santigold, Broken Social Scene, the Dirty Projectors, Damian Marley, Nas, Crystal Castles, Wale and Voxtrot among others. Rubin has played the Chicago, Nashville and San Francisco music scenes and recently launched her European musical career when she moved to Berlin.

Seit ihrem Umzug nach Berlin und ihrer Teilnahme bei The Voice of Germany arbeitet sie an ihrem Durchbruch in Europa.

Following her participation on the Voice of Germany which saw her successfully through to the quarterfinals, Rubin now has turned her attention to creating her debut album, “Lead Me Astray”. Her first full length release, Rubin has spent the last few months carefully crafting her songs that range from fiery attitude filled strains of “Trainwreck”, to the desolate comfort of “There Will Be Wells”. The record will be released in September 2018, with a German tour to follow before Rubin takes the release to Europe and the United States. Having won the University of Chicago’s battle of the bands four years in a row , Rubin has also performed as a support act for artists such as Santigold, Broken Social Scene, the Dirty Projectors, Damian Marley, Nas, Crystal Castles, Wale and Voxtrot among others.
