El Gouna started out as a man’s dream. Samih Sawiris, desiring to find the most beautiful spot on the Red Sea for a house and small boat jetty, soon discovered the perfect place. It was not long before many of his friends, struck by the splendour of the azure waters and dramatic mountain backdrop, asked to join him. In this way, El Gouna began to blossom into the rich, vibrant community it is today.

Il a découvert très vite le lieu idéal au bord de la Mer Rouge. Ses amis, éblouis par la splendeur des eaux azurées et le cadre spectaculaire des montagnes, ne tardèrent pas à le rejoindre. C’est ainsi qu’El Gouna s’est développée pour devenir la communauté riche et dynamique qu’elle est aujourd’hui.

Golfing in Perennial Sunshine El Gouna’s 18-hole championship golf course boasts year-round golfing in a setting where players can feast their eyes on stunning views of mountains and endless water as the course challenges the strength, ingenuity, and skill of novice and professionals alike.

The18-hole championship golf course, designed by the American architectural firm of Fred Couples and Gene Bates, thrills beginners as well as advanced players. The course, rated by the German Golf Federation, offers men’s and ladies’ tees ranging from 4,344 metres to 6,269 metres with 3 different tees on every hole. The course includes an aqua driving range with 30 tees, pitch, chip and putt areas. The Golf Club also offers a Pro Shop as well as trolley, electric carts and clubs rental. Minimum handicap of 45 is required. El Gouna Golf Academy and its qualified PGA professionals offer all levels of instruction on and off the course. The Ancient Sands Golf Project is currently underway. Le club propose également un practice sur eau avec 30 postes, une zone de petit jeu et un putting-green, ainsi que des caddies, des voiturettes électriques et des clubs de golf à la location. Le handicap minimum requis est de 45. L’école de golf d’El Gouna et ses professionnels PGA qualifiés assurent des cours pour tous niveaux, sur et en-dehors du parcours. Green Gouna

Umweltschutz Protection de l’environnement

El Gouna is largely recognized as Egypt’s most eco-friendly destination. Management works with hotels, businesses and residents to preserve the unique natural environment. The recycling plant performs garbage separation and processes materials for reuse, while an eco-friendly farm and fish farm ensure access to natural foods. The town also produces its own water by desalinating sea water and uses treated waste water to irrigate greenery.

El Gouna ist allgemein als das umweltfreundlichste Urlaubsziel in Ägypten anerkannt.
