Tight. W7 Subwoofer Drivers The ultimate W7-series embodies JL Audio's commitment to pushing the envelope of speaker technology. It wouldn't be enough for this speaker to sound great or be loud, it had to do both - at the same time. Meeting this goal required JL to develop a deeper understanding of the inner behaviour of speakers, new and proprietary modelling systems and six new, patented technologies. Each W7 model has been meticulously engineered to reproduce sub-bass with extreme fidelity at any volume level. Once you begin to analyze the technology and the performance profile of a W7, you realize that these are much more than just "big SPL speakers".

Reference class subwoofers with six patented technologies. MADE IN USA. Each individual W7 model is a completely unique design from surround to back-plate and shares no major parts with its siblings, because each motor and each suspension system is specifically designed and tuned for that model. Even the bolts and screws used to assemble the speaker have been purpose-designed and manufactured to our specifications. Jedes W7 Modell beansprucht für sich von der Sicke bis zur Polplatte ein völlig eigenständiges Design und teilt kein wesentliches Teil mit den Schwestermodellen, da jeder Antrieb speziell nur für diese eine Größe entwickelt wurde. A brilliant well-thought-out connection terminal allows to connect the dual voice coil easily in different connection variants. Especially the compatibility in several tight enclosures makes the W6 woofers the allround champions in the JL Audio program.

Also produced in the USA, these subwoofers are applicable in most different ways and available in five different basket sizes. Thin. TW5 Subwoofer Drivers When the space in modern vehicles is limited or the conservation of the existing loading space is important, it needs new concepts and solutions which convince with performance. The idea to built ultra shallow subwoofers with compact assembly dimensions is not really new. But the result was never comparable to bigger subwoofers. The design of the TW5 wipes away any doubts. The result is more than conclusive – with noble finesse JL Audio makes the shallow mount - principle perfect.

Top class compact subwoofers with multiple patented technologies. MADE IN USA. The compact subwoofers with ultra shallow mounting depth of only 65 mm finally stop the prejudice, that chassis of this type cannot generate enough bass and audio pressure. The height reduction of the basket is equalized with a new membrane hanger assembly and very huge voice coils – 5.5” (140 mm) at the 12” and 7.0” (178 mm) at the 13” version. Also the Xmax of +/- 9.7 mm is absolute respectable.

Innovativ. Wenn in modernen Fahrzeugen das Platzangebot eingeschränkt ist oder die Erhaltung des vorhandenen Laderaums eine wichtige Rolle spielt, braucht es neue Konzepte und Lösungen, die dennoch mit Performance überzeugen. Die Idee, ultra-flache Subwoofer mit kompakten Einbaumaßen zu bauen, ist nicht neu – doch das Ergebnis war bis dato niemals mit größeren Tieftönern vergleichbar. But conventional digital circuits were not good enough for that high demands, so with an intensive research JL Audio developed a brand new technology, named Single-Cycle Control™.
