Casual Interaction with 3D Environments

The Quality and Usabilty Lab is looking for a student worker. The chosen candidate will be helping to extend a platform used to evaluate new interaction metaphors for virtual 3D scenes. This involves various input modalities ranging from multi-touch sensitive devices to motion sensors used with either large displays or mobile phones. Specific tasks will include assisting in one or more of the following areas depending on the candidate’s interests: • • • • •

Mobile Phone based Interaction (Android/iPhone) Vision based Interaction (C/C++ or Java) Application/Game Logic (Java) Real-time Computer Graphics (OpenGL) 3D Modelling & Animation (Blender)

The job will be offered for a minimum of 3 month and can optionally be extended.
